Tim has worked and continues to work w some of the best athletes and executives in the world…and has developed and evolved his SPRT Therapy Soft Tissue/Manual Therapy and Functional Taping Techniques for the last 30 years…with the goal to share what he’s learned and experienced over his career, with the best Health and Fitness Professionals, while creating a community of like minded practitioners helping athletes and patients/clients around the world.

LEARNER OUTCOMES

  • The SPRT Therapy system focuses on assessing and identifying biomechanical imbalances…and then addressing the cause of the imbalance, as opposed to solely treating the symptom or area of complaint.
  • The SPRT Therapy Soft tissue approach starts by using the superficial peripheral and cutaneous nervous system to assess and then stimulate Neuromyofascial balance to improve mobility, stability and joint centration
  • The SPRT soft tissue approach starts by using very light touch with multiple strokes, to stimulate cutaneous nerves in soft tissues (skin/fascia/muscle/tendon)…in order to reduce neuromuscular tension and soft tissue/muscle shortening of over used, under stretched muscles involved in injury or wear and tear causing decentration of joint alignment.
  • SPRT Therapy Sensorimotor Taping then helps to support the new posture, joint mechanics and movement patterns to further enhance and engrain the new movement patterns and to act as a continuation of the work, to enhance proprioception and awareness.
  • Clinicians will learn philosophy, physiological principles and practical application of specific proprioceptive response manual therapy and sensorimotor functional taping techniques.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES

Attendees will learn:

  • Anatomy and Physiology of the Neuromuscular Fascial System
  • the importance of improving soft tissue quality
  • assessment of muscle and fascial densification or restrictions, including advanced palpation techniques
  • how to locate the cause of the injury or true pain generator vs treating the symptomatic location
  • to improve range of motion through comfortable, superficial manual therapy
  • stabilization (control) and strength techniques for injured soft tissue and joint systems
  • Sensorimotor Functional Taping Techniques
